During October 2023, the Ecoverse Team reached out to the Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) foundation, an organization guided by their core principles of accepting every child, regardless of the nature or severity of their disability, providing all programs entirely free of charge, and meeting the needs of the individual athlete, allowing everyone to find success and joy. Many members of the Ecoverse team have had experience volunteering with the KEEN organization, so we wanted to be able to organize a classical music benefit concert for the organization with the talented members we had. Through the concert, we decided to order customized pens for the KEEN foundation through the Ecoverse website. The pens ordered were light metal multi-color ballpoint pens with the custom KEEN logo engraved inside. With our talented volunteers, we created an instrumental lineup including oboe, cello, flute, viola, and piano players. For the concert itself, we rented out a space from Potter Violins.

The concert was a great experience. With over 50 tickets sold, the space was packed with people. All of the members of the benefit concert performed wonderfully and also provided background on the piece they were playing. Overall, the concert was a fun and casual performance.

We were truly grateful to everyone who attended the 2023 Winter Benefit Concert for the KEEN Greater DC Foundation. We truly appreciated everyone doing such an incredible job despite poor weather conditions and hoped everyone had a blast playing for an incredible cause to help others.

Not only that, but we also received many generous donations as well.

Overall, we donated a spectacular $1,300 to the KEEN Foundation! In total, we raised $1,682.50 to the KEEN Foundation which we subtracted from the $382.50 rent fee from Potter Violins. Once again, all funds were donated directly to the KEEN Foundation. Our group was extremely proud of being able to support a few organizations that we had personally volunteered with in the past. It was a great feeling being able to give back unconventionally through our benefit concert and donations.
